Three trims and launch prices
Arcfox has opened pre-orders for the 2027 version of the Alfa S5, a wide-body electric coupé presented as an AI-assisted high-performance car. According to the source, three trims are planned: 650 PLUS Laser at 121,800 yuan, 650 MAX Laser at 131,800 yuan and 750 MAX Laser Shenxing at 144,800 yuan. The manufacturer is accompanying the launch with a special color offered free of charge for a limited period, valued at 5,000 yuan.
The announced commercial conditions include a lifetime warranty on the motor, battery and electronic control system, a replacement clause in the event of a battery fire, and battery replacement at no cost if capacity falls below the stated threshold within 8 years or 160,000 kilometers. These are commitments stated by the company at the time of pre-order, not conditions verified by third parties.
Technical equipment and driving assistance
The car measures 4,886 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width and 1,480 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. New features compared with the previous version include frameless door mirrors and a 148-liter front luggage compartment. The lineup offers seven exterior colors and three interior colors.
On the driving-assistance front, the 2027 S5 adopts the system developed by BAIC, called Yuanjing, and mounts a 192-line LiDAR sensor on all trims. The automaker claims support for assisted driving in the city and on the highway, automatic emergency steering and multi-level memory parking. The presence of LiDAR even in the base version is the element that most characterizes the model's positioning: it is a component normally reserved for higher trims or higher-end vehicles.
The equipment also includes variable-damping shock absorbers, batteries supplied by CATL and a claimed maximum range of 750 kilometers, with Shenxing 5C fast charging. Also planned are a zero-gravity passenger seat, a 19-speaker audio system, a panoramic roof, two artificial-intelligence-based assistants and an augmented-reality head-up display on the windshield. The structure would use high-strength steel and aluminum for 81.6 percent.
What remains to be verified
The data released relate exclusively to the pre-order phase: the source does not report the start date of deliveries, expected volumes or the results of independent tests. The 750-kilometer range and 5C charging times are figures stated by the manufacturer and will need to be verified under real-world conditions of use. Similarly, the effectiveness of assisted-driving functions in the city depends on map coverage and regulatory authorizations, information not contained in the material. It is also not indicated whether and when the model will be sold outside China.
